I'm back
So...I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I've been so busy, but hopefully we'll catch up on things. Anyway, my great-grandmother died today. She's was very old, so we expected it. Please pray for the family. I'm not sure of her salvation, but I know the Lord can work in the funeral. Thank you all, I'll be back I'm sure! See ya'll.

Call Me Crazy
Why I would I spend my life longing for the day that it would end..
Why would I spend my time pointing to another man..
Isn't that crazy
How can I find hope in dying, with promises unseen..
How can I learn your way is better
In everything I'm taught to be..
Isn't that crazy
I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who's calling out to me..
And even though the world may think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity
And if I boast let me boast
Of filthy rags made clean
And if I glory let me glory
In my Savior's suffering
Isn't that crazy
And as I live this daily life
I trust you for everything
And I will only take a step
When I feel You leading me
Isn't that crazy
I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world my think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity
Call me crazy
You can call me crazy
Call me crazy
I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..

God is God, and God, God.
Psalm 100
A Thanksgiving Psalm
1 -2 On your feet now—applaudsing yourselves into his presence.
3 Know this:
He made us; we didn't make him.
We're his people, his well-tended sheep.
4 Enter with the password: "Thank you!"
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.

Dancing With Great Abandon
In sunday school the other day we were learning about the Israelites and how they mistreated the Ark of the Covenant. After Uzzah was killed for trying to keep it from sliding off of the ox cart, David became very angry and just left the Ark at the house of Obed-Edom. God greatly blessed the house of Obed-Edom for 20 years, and when David got news of this blessing he went to bring the Ark back to the City of David, but this time, David wanted to do it right. So they began the meticulous process of getting the Ark into the city. They took their time, and had frequent sacrifices the whole way home.
David, ceremonially dressed in priest's linen, danced with great abandon beforeGod
Michal, Saul's daughter saw this, and the Bible says that her heart filled with scorn. This is where sometimes we as sinners come in. We see others dancing and singing praise, and sometimes we get angry. Why should they be happy when I'm not? Why are they celebrating when everything around us is bad?
Well, David returned home and met his wife and daughter and Michal decided she would confront David...
"How wonderfully the king has distinguished himself today—exposing himself to the eyes of the servants' maids like some burlesque street dancer!" David replied to Michal, "InGod 's presence I'll dance all I want! He chose me over your father and the rest of our family and made me prince over God 's people, over Israel. Oh yes, I'll dance to God 's glory—more recklessly even than this. And as far as I'm concerned...I'll gladly look like a fool...but among these maids you're so worried about, I'll be honored no end."
David realized that he had been called to do something, and he was going to do it with all his might. My favorite part is, "Oh yes, I'll dance to God's glory - more recklessly even than this." And that's how our atitude should be when we're the ones dancing. No matter who mocks us or gets us down! Our atitude should always be, "I'll dance to God's glory."
As for those of us who have been like Michal, the passage ends with...
Michal, Saul's daughter, was barren the rest of her life.

Ref II
Once again the fate of the US National team was decided by a European who hates our guts. I don't care who they are or who we are, call the game fair. It's what your being paid to do, idiots.

UGH
There is no thing worse than a friend telling you he'd call in an hour to hang out. and not calling for 3 hours. ugh
Convicting. Encouraging. Amazing.
You all have to read this story on ESPN. First of all I can't believe they would post such a long story about this, but it has to be from God. The thing has scripture all over it, and the testimony of this NFL coach is amazing. Go read and be encouraged like I was!

Boa Noiche!
Back from Brazil with bells on. It was a trip and a half is all I have to say. I will expound more on it in a later post, but I want to take a short oppourtunity to praise God.
The trip seemed slow spiritually at first. Real slow. But once again, God came through with a miracle. The last Wednesday we were there we spent at a church. We gave our testimonies, sang our songs, and one of the guys on the team preached.
The service was over and we went on with our business. We played some soccer, and a few of us left and got groceries.
I came back to the church and there was the pastor! He was talking to coach, and when I walked up to them I found out this amazing news:
There were three first time visitors in the service. After the service they had some basic questions. Well, after the pastor answered their questions, he went through the plan of salvation with them. All three of the people were gloriously saved that night! It was so refreshing!
I praise God for his many blessings! I will hopefully be posting some journal entries from my trip soon. :-)
Thank you all for your prayers.

Hello! Goodbye
Well, I haven't posted in awhile, so here I am, but all I can do is say goodbye.
I leave for Brazil on a soccer mission team today. If you can, here are some things to pray about:
1. Safety
2. The Bus details would get worked out as soon as we arrive
3. MOST IMPORTANTLY - the Word of Christ would go forth in a God honoring manner, and that no one on the team would be a hinderance to the Word.
4. Salvation of souls
Thank you everyone. My blog will deffinately be amazing when I return.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Visa Shmisa
filthy brazilians...at least the ones at the Brazilian embassy in Miami. OK, so in part i jest, but not really. here's the scoop:
At approximately 3:45 yesterday I receive word that our visas to go to Brazil must say on them "valid for 1825 days (5 years)." SO, since I had gotten mine last year, I figured, GOOD! I'm safe. But in the pit of my stomach something screamed at me to go check it out. LO AND BEHOLD, there it is....NOTHING?!?!?!??!! OK, starting to have that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I now have entered the frantic email mode, sending my coach a ton of emails with lots of questions. He tells me not to worry and just to swing by in the morning and he'll check it out.. Let's pause the story for one second..
you know that feeling you get when someone you trust starts freaking out?
SO, coach starts freaking out..."well, check your email a lot because I know you'll be hearing from me." is the last thing he says as I walk out the door. It's OK I tell myself...NOTHING IS RANDOM!! so...i go on about my business. At 12:50 I check again, the email reads "you need to go get two money orders, one for 100 and one for 10. OUCH! also, you need to go get your picture taken for your visa. OUCH! and then bring it to me and we'll see what we can do. These are not promising words considering I just paid 120$ last semester for the same thing! After class, I start speeding around this town trying to get everything accomplished. Well, I get it done, get back to my coach, fill out a visa application, fill out the money orders, tape my picture to the application, and ask 1000000 questions. My main concern was why in a two year period do I have to pay 240$ for something that should have lasted me 5 years?? Here's the brilliant brazilian answer: "sometimes it just turns out that way, one guys could get approved for 5 years, some for 90 days." Guess what mine was...90 days. Well, coach found a man to overnight my passport too and he's going to go stand in line, get it approved and overnight it back. So in the end, I believe it will all work out.
My first response was to call them filthy brazilians...oh wait...i did, and that was probably the wrong choice. But as I was moping around, feeling sorry for myself, wondering if i'd ever see my visa, i saw someone who will not be named that brightened my day with a scripture passage I needed SOOOO much!
Romans 15:13
Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!
I have a hope that the God of green is going to work all things for my betterment and for His glory.
